Midlife Might Just Be the Best Thing That Ever Happened to You

I help women in their midlife step into the next phase of their lives authentically, intentionally, and with joy.

Another way of saying that – I help women in their 40s, 50s and 60s set healthy boundaries, give fewer fucks about what other people think, and (possibly for the first time) put themselves first.

My clients struggle as you do. Despite being smart, organized, and generally on top of their shit, life is hard.

When they first come in, my clients often to report that they are overwhelmed by work and home life. They report feeling like they’re barely keeping all the balls in the air and can’t remember the last time they did something for themselves. With work and kids and marriages (and maybe divorces), it has been one long sprint. They sit in their cars in the driveway just to have a few minutes for themselves.

Some wonder what’s next as they look around at empty bedrooms after their last teen has left home and are trying to figure out how to parent someone who lives miles away. They struggle over how much to reach out to their college kid, when to communicate, how long is it reasonable to wait before you expect a text back, when to call, how much to say, how to let go.

They feel that communicating with their adult kid can sometimes feel like texting a guy who’s just not that into you.

They are dealing with changes in their bodies, hormones, and moods and just want to feel like their “old self” again. They are surprised every time the catch their reflection in a store window or mirror and see their mother’s arms, new gray hairs peeking out, and then there’s the NECK.

They want to learn to deal better with their big emotions, take better care of themselves, and feel more confident in themselves and their bodies.

The rules about how it was all supposed to happen led them here, but now they’re wondering what’s next. They did all of the things they were supposed to do in their lives and now they just want it to feel better on the inside, more authentic. They feel anxious and depressed and can’t really figure out where it went sideways.

Before they came to see me, many of my clients felt resigned and they blamed themselves. They felt that this was as good as it got in midlife, maybe they’re expecting too much. I mean, lots of people have it worse. They worried they were too old to make changes or that they’d have to make super dramatic changes they didn’t want to make. And, they were pretty certain they were the only ones feeling this way and they just needed to suck it up and keep moving. They felt like failures.

Like my clients, you deserve to have the second part of your life feel authentic, joyful, and to be centered around what you want.

Feeling relaxed, content, grounded, and confident is not out of your reach.

If you want to feel excited about the next chapter in your life, I’d love to help you get there. Send me a message now. You don’t have to suffer. I can help.
